This screenshot shows the bash session in the background which has connected to a remote machine, and running Kwrite over the network in the local X client in the foreground. All the fonts etc in the X application are from the machine the application is being run from. Any files modified, or where to save and open files are locations on the remote mchine. Here we are being prompted to save or discard changes made to the text document.
