Vidalinux / VLOS

VLOS is a Gentoo based Linux distribution featuring the Anaconda installer to simplify installation. With VLOS it is possible to have a Gentoo system up and running in a matter of minutes, removing one of the largest obstacles to installing Gentoo Linux. Once installed you can use Gentoo's command line portage system for package management, or the easy to use GUI tool "Porthole".

The current version is 1.2.1 released on January 19th 2006.

VLOS was previously known as VidaLinux.

The versions of VLOS we have for sale are the freely downloadable versions. There is also a paid for version you can buy direct from the VLOS store which includes more software packages (such as KDE). Because VLOS is based on Gentoo you can easily install additional packages that suit you once the installation has completed.
