Smoothwall Linux

Smoothwall Express is produced by the Smoothwall Open Source Project Team to provide an open source firewall which can run on i386 and compatible computers and allow them to become a dedicated firewall and gateway applicance. Smoothwall is configured via a web based interface and requires no knowlege or previous use of Linux to set up and run.

The Smoothwall project began in 2000 with the goals of protecting the local network, be simple to install, support a wide variety of network cards and Internet connection methods, and to be easy to use. These goals still form the foundation of Smoothwall today.
