Hat Linux
Red Hat was founded in 1994 by Bob Young and Marc Ewing and is today one of the leading Linux distributions especially in the corporate world. Red Hat used to produce a free distribution known simply as "Red Hat Linux" which is what we offer to order on this page. They also produce an enterprise class distribution known as "Red Hat Enterprise Linux" which is not available for free. Red Hat stopped development of the non enterprise distribution in 2003 and created instead the Fedora Project to continue development of the community edition of their software. This is available on the Fedora Core page. There are rebranded variants of the enterprise distribution and we currently offer one of these: CentOS Linux.
