CD & DVD Media

We use high quality printable DataLife Plus Verbatim CDs, and printable Taiyo Yuden DVDs for our Linux and BSD distributions. After the distribution is burnt to the CD or DVD it is verified using md5sums or sha1sums to ensure the integrity of the data. The mini CDs for the smaller live distributions are also Verbatim.

The labels are printed directly onto the disks using a Canon IP4300 photo/CD printer and feature basic information about what is on the disk and the distribution's logo. Each distribution set is burnt and printed to order.

All CDs are sent in DVD cases. Depending on the number of CDs or DVDs in a set your CDs will come in a slimline single DVD case, a standard size case holding 2, 3 or 4 CDs or a larger case which holds up to 6 CDs or DVDs. Examples of the CDs and cases are shown below.
